One of the most important factors in the success of a platform like data.world is what we call “data liquidity”. Central to our vision for data.world is to become the first stop to answer the question: “I wonder if there is a dataset about _________?”. The social nature of data.world and the immediate enhancements to uploaded data have meant steady and increasing dataset contributions from our users. In addition to crowdsourcing the world’s best datasets, we have been cultivating relationships with organizations that steward large collections of high value data. These include governmental organizations, educational institutions, municipalities and states, and corporations.
