A fond farewell
Goodbye, and thank you.
It is with profound gratitude to the multitude of users who made this
community what it was over the last decade that we announce the
retirement of the data.world Open Data Community, discontinued as
of July 13, 2026, following our acquisition by ServiceNow in
2025.
Bringing together contributors ranging from hundreds of academic
institutions and government bodies to the millions of members of
our open data community over the last ten years, the journey has
been truly unforgettable. We here at data.world have been proud of
what we have built together and amazed every step of the way to
see what happens when a community comes together around open
data.
Though the Open Data Community is discontinued, we hope the spirit
of open data will persevere in all corners of the world, shining a
brilliant light to guide the world forward.
